Getting started

Introduction

Squadmail is open-source email for teams and AI agents, running entirely on your Cloudflare account.

Squadmail gives your team shared inboxes and gives your agents real email addresses they can create, read and act on — through a realtime dashboard, a REST API or the built-in MCP server.

It is a single Cloudflare Worker (SvelteKit) plus the Cloudflare primitives it needs. You deploy it to your own account with one click and receive mail on your own domain.

What you get

  • Permanent and disposable inboxes. Give support@ a home and spin up swift-otter-4821@ for a test run that deletes itself after an hour.
  • Agent-native. An MCP server with 14 tools (OAuth 2.1 or API key), long-polling wait endpoints and server-side extraction of OTP codes and magic links.
  • Smart labels with Clef. Describe a label in plain English. Cloudflare’s Clef decision model answers it for every email, after your free regex rules.
  • Realtime everywhere. Durable Objects push new mail to the dashboard, SSE clients and waiting agents instantly.
  • Webhooks. HMAC-signed, retried with backoff, replayable, filterable by inbox and label.
  • Teams. Workspaces, roles, invites, 2FA, per-agent attribution.
  • Send, reply and forward through Amazon SES — from your own domain, with DKIM.
